Passenger rights

Rules and regulations that secures your rights as a passenger travelling with Color Line.

The European Parliament and the Council of European union have formally adopted EU regulation 1177/2010, which provides rights to cruise and ferry passengers during sea transport to and from EU countries. The regulation came into force on 18 December 2012 and contains rules on:

  • non-discriminatory access to transport
  • the right to assistance for people with reduced or limited mobility
  • the right to assistance, compensation and information in the event of a delay or a cancellation
  • handling of complaints
  • National Enforcement Body (complaints board)
